Eligibility Criteria of SSC Constable GD Recruitment
Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.
Age Limit: 18-23 years as on 01.08.2023. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-08-2000 and later than 01-08-2005 in normal course.
Age Relaxation: Permissible relaxations in upper age limit for different categories are as under:
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India. Vacancies are state/ UT wise hence a candidate must submit domicile/ PRC against his state/ UT.
Application Fee
Candidates have to pay a certain amount as application fee depending up on their category. The details are as given below:
- SC/ ST/ ESM/ Women: NIL
- Others: Rs 100/-
Payment Mode: BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
SSC GD Constable Selection Process
The Selection Process of SSC GD Constable Vacancy 2023 includes the written test in online (CBT) mode. The candidates who will qualify in the written exam will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PMT) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT). The PET and PMT for the SSC GD Constable will be conducted at the various training centers of the CAPFs across the country. After that, the document verification and Medical Examination will be conducted. Upon final selection, the candidates will be allotted the respective force (BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, etc.) depending upon the choice filled by the candidate in order of merit and availability of vacant seats.

Selection Process of SSC Constable GD Vacancy
The selection process of SSC Constable GD will consist of following stages:
a) Computer Based Examination (CBE)
b) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
c) Physical Standard Test (PST)
d) Medical Examination (DME/ RME) and
e) Document Verification

SSC GD Constable 2023-24 Exam Pattern
The written exam of the SSC Constable Recruitment includes objective-type questions from General English/ Hindi, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Mathematics, and General Knowledge. Each subject will have 20 questions with 40 marks making it a total of 160 marks exam. The level of the question paper will be of the 10th Class/ Matric. There will also be a negative marking of 1/4th for wrong answers. The time duration of the exam is 60 minutes.

SSC 2023 Physical Test (PMT)
Ten times the number of vacancies, the candidates will be called for the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PET/ PST). The Ex-servicemen who will be shortlisted in Computer Based Examination will have to appear in PET/PST stage for recording measurements of height, chest, and weight only. PET will not be held for the Ex-servicemen candidates
SSC Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Based on the performance in Computer Based Test, candidates will be shortlisted for Physical (PET/ PMT) by the Commission. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) will be conducted at various centers finalized by the CAPFs. Detailed scrutiny of candidates’ eligibility/ documents will be undertaken at the time of DME.

Therefore, it will be the responsibility of the candidates to verify their eligibility as prescribed in this notice before appearing for CBE/ PST/ PET. During PET/ PST, candidates who are found eligible on height parameters will undergo PET (race) followed by biometric/ technology-aided identification. Scrutiny of eligibility of candidates for any relaxation i.e. age, height, and chest measurement will be carried out after qualifying PET (race) before PST by CAPFs PET/ PST Boards.
